In what has become a “too common” situation in the late weeks of the various team sport seasons, the SEEDING for the Section 5AA playoffs will take place 5/21… Which likely means the games between Annandale and Rockford that night will NOT be taken into account. As such, the current standings likely will be the standings for the Section Playoffs. Round 1 – losers are done, winners advance to double elimination Bracket Play: #1 Holy Family – Bye #9 Breck @ #8 Norwood-Young America #12 Howard Lake @ #5 Glencoe #13 Watertown @ #4 SW Christian (I’m assuming this is in Cologne) #14 Mpls HenryRead More →

Kyle Calder garnered his 2nd win of the season behind some good hitting and fielding beating the Wildcats on their home field (9-5). Game 2 of the double header, Christian Swanson was on the hill.  Christian got shelled early and knocked out of the game, relieved by Luke Pepin and then later by Todd Traen.  Jack Hanson scored 4 in this game, pounding his 2nd HR of the year over the right field fence.  But, in the end, the Rocket pitching was too easy to hit, and the Wildcats pummeled the Rockets (16-8) slapping the ball all over the field seemingly at will. ~ TheRead More →
